The stockyards will, without a doubt, be an important party parcel in this year’s NFR. The NFR 2020 will run from Dec. 3-12 and the much loved Wild West entertainment district will host its own year-round rodeo, which will include a two-time-a-day cattle drive and F&B options as Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que, Billy Bob’s Honky Tonk Kitchen, and Filthy McNasty’s Saloon. It’s bound to be a blast, and you better be part of the action.

The Stockyard’s main stage is a must-attend for any music enthusiast with a confirmed performance by Aaron Watson, who will be Wednesday’s headliner. Aaron Watson is a regular Las Vegas NFR headliner and performs at the South Point Showroom.

Since its move to Texas, the NFR has been dubbed as the crowning event for the Dallas-Fort Worth region and the Globe Life Field. Cavileer has been quoted weighing on this, saying, “it’s the biggest ever win for Texas, but very disappointing for Las Vegas.” The Vegas Events official was present at a PRCA announcement and further said, “We are going to hold a great event at the Stockyards, and are looking forward to returning 2021 in Las Vegas.” There, do you need to hear any more? It has already been guaranteed on what event will go down at the Stockyards. They not only plan to bring down the heavens but Texas as well.

While campaigning for the 2020 NFR in Texas, Cavileer still reiterated that the event would get back to Las Vegas. Las Vegas Events has to this effect extended its contract with the Thomas and Mack Center for one year till 2025 due to the one-off being held in Texas.

“It is going to be back, and so will Las Vegas come back strong and big.’ Cavileer said, “Las Vegas is still and will remain the entertainment capital of the globe. It has and will own that title. The loss of the NFR for one year will not take that title away.”
